Who we are

Design and engineering for startups and growing brands

Xenion Labs started in 2019 with a simple frustration: agencies that pitched with senior people and delivered with junior ones. We built the opposite. Thirty-eight specialists, no account managers between you and the people doing the work, and a bias toward shipping something real in the first fortnight.

We work with founders and product leaders across fintech, healthtech, logistics and SaaS — usually somewhere between a first prototype and a Series B, where the decisions you make now are the ones you live with for years.

How we're different

  • We scope before we quote

A paid discovery phase produces a written scope and a fixed price. No estimate ranges that double halfway through.

  • You see working software every two weeks

Not a status update — a deployed build on a staging URL that you can click through and share.

  • We say no to work we'd do badly

If your project needs a specialism we don't have, we'll tell you and point you somewhere better.

How it works

A process with no surprises in it

Four phases, weekly reviews, and a deployable build every two weeks. You always know what we're working on and what it costs.

  1. 01

    Discover

We start with your users and your constraints — interviews, analytics, a technical audit — and come back with a written point of view on what to build and what to skip.

  2. 02

    Design

Flows, wireframes and high-fidelity screens, reviewed with you every week. You see the real thing early enough that changing it is still cheap.

  3. 03

    Build

Two-week sprints with a working deploy at the end of each one. Code review, automated tests and a staging URL you can share from day one.

  4. 04

    Scale

Launch, then measure. We tune performance, watch the funnel, and either hand the codebase to your team or keep shipping alongside them.

Why Xenion

Your brand deserves better than a template

Four commitments we make on every engagement. They are in the contract, not just on the website.

  • Senior people only

The people in your kickoff call are the people writing the code. We don't staff projects with juniors behind a senior name on the pitch deck.

  • Fixed scope, fixed price

You get a written scope and a fixed number before we start. If we underestimate, that's our problem to absorb, not a change order.

  • You own everything

Code, designs, infrastructure and accounts are yours from day one, in your repositories and your cloud account. No lock-in, no hostage situations.

  • Built to be handed over

Every project ships with tests, documentation and a walkthrough. The measure of good work is that you don't need us afterwards.

Client feedback

What it's like to work with us

  • They pushed back on half of our original scope, and they were right about all of it. We launched two months earlier than planned with a product people actually use.
    Dana WhitfieldVP Product, Northwind
  • The handover was the best I've seen. Our engineers were shipping features in the codebase within a week, without a single call back to Xenion.
    Marcus ElleryCTO, ArcLend
  • Xenion treated our brand like it mattered before we had the revenue to justify it. Two funding rounds later, we still haven't needed to redesign.

Why fixed-price software needs paid discovery

Every founder wants a fixed price for their software project. Every honest studio knows they can't give one without a paid discovery phase first. Here's what that phase actually contains, and why it's the shortest path to a real number.

FAQ

Questions we get asked first

If yours isn't here, email us — we answer scoping questions before there's a contract in sight.

How much does a typical project cost?
Most engagements land between $30,000 and $180,000 depending on scope. A focused marketing site or MVP usually starts around $30,000; a full product platform with integrations and a mobile app sits at the upper end. We give you a fixed price after a paid discovery phase, so the number you approve is the number you pay.
How long will it take to launch?
A marketing site takes four to six weeks. An MVP web or mobile product takes ten to sixteen weeks. Larger platforms run three to six months. In every case you get a working, deployable build at the end of each two-week sprint, so you're never waiting until the end to see progress.
Do you work with early-stage startups?
Yes — a large share of our work is pre-seed to Series A. We're used to tight budgets and short runways, and we'll tell you honestly when a smaller scope gets you to the same learning faster.
Who owns the code and designs?
You do, completely, from the first commit. We work in your GitHub organisation and your cloud accounts wherever possible. There are no licence fees, no proprietary frameworks and nothing you need our permission to change.
What happens after launch?
You choose. We can hand the project to your in-house team with documentation and a walkthrough, stay on a monthly retainer for continued development, or provide a lighter support agreement covering bugs and dependency updates.
Can you work with our existing team or codebase?
Often. We regularly join existing engineering teams to add capacity in a specific area, or take over a codebase someone else started. We'll start with a technical audit so we can tell you what we found before we quote the work.
